Advocacy & Community Impact
Using visibility to support causes that matter.
Advocacy has always been a meaningful part of my work. Through my platforms and partnerships, I support awareness initiatives, community efforts, and organizations focused on education, health, and impact — including ALS awareness.
This work is personal, ongoing, and rooted in the belief that visibility can be used for more than promotion — it can be used to create change.
Areas of focus include:
- ALS awareness and education
- Community support initiatives
- Media visibility for underrepresented voices
👉 Advocacy collaborations and awareness projects are welcomed.

Advocacy rooted in action, compassion, and community impact.
Advocacy isn’t a campaign — it’s a commitment.
“Ilene played a crucial role in the fight against ALS as a committee member for the 2018 Richmond Walk to Defeat ALS®. She supported the chapter’s fundraising efforts by securing in-kind donations and actively promoting the walk throughout the community. From early planning through event day, Ilene was enthusiastic, communicative, and deeply supportive. Her dedication and hard work were instrumental in the success of the Richmond Walk.“

“I cannot recommend Ilene enough. Her expertise, determination, and can-do attitude are exceptional. Through our work together with a nonprofit organization, I’ve seen firsthand the strength, compassion, and commitment she brings to everything she does.“

“Ilene brings a wonderful energy and a deep passion for helping others. We connected through our shared commitment to giving back and volunteering with The ALS Association, an organization that supported our loved ones through this devastating disease. I’ve truly enjoyed getting to know her and look forward to continuing our work together.“

Advocacy & Awareness
Using voice, visibility, and storytelling to support causes that matter.

This month is ALS Awareness Month
My father fought a battle most people can’t imagine — and did it with quiet strength and dignity. Every May, I pause to honor the man who helped shape me.
ALS is a cruel disease. It takes the body, but not the soul.
I watched it test the limits of his strength… and the limits of mine.
But here’s what it didn’t take:

- His sense of purpose
- His pride in family
- The legacy he left in my heart and my work
Everything I create now carries pieces of him. Every story, every spotlight, every issue — he’s there.
To anyone who’s loved someone through ALS or any life-altering illness:
I see you. And I honor your courage too.
This one’s for him. Always.
